According to the Fallout 3/NV wikia: Generally, ham radio stations are only useful in that they broadcast a radio signal and serve as a beacon to lead a player to an otherwise difficult-to-find location. Players cannot affect a ham radio apart from turning the signal on or off. Ham radios are indestructible. If Radio Nam isn't working, there is no uninstalling and reinstalling it anymore. Bethesda has discontinued it. Probably because of copyright reasons. The only way I have found to fix the problem now, is to revert back to a saved game, and I had to go way back. So people from now on check Radio Nam often. Good luck, and hope this helps. All Discussions Screenshots Artwork Broadcasts Videos News Guides Reviews. Alternative, style of Radio into the Wasteland that fit that Era? I've gotten so tired of listening to the same crappy songs over and over again, except Atom Bomb Baby. To find the music files simply search the Fallout 4 game files for one of the songs: 'Heartaches' and 'Johnny' are the names of two songs which you can use to search for. Alternatively you can use the Custom Radio Music mod which essentially does the same as the procedure I outlined above, it only allows you to replace songs and not add any.

The following is based on Fallout Tactics and some details might contradict canon.

The Vietnam War was a military conflict that took place in the Fallout universe. The Fallout Tactics intro explicitly mentions a declaration of War in Vietnam[1] and includes fragments of speeches made by Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon concerning the war. Making this an excellent example of a divergence in the Fallout timeline as this never happened in real life.
